PNWER, through the Washington State Homeland Security Region 6 Critical Infrastructure Committee, and the Partnership for Regional Infrastructure Security, developed and facilitated a critical infrastructure interdependencies tabletop exercise with public-private stakeholders in and around Washington State Homeland Security Region 6 area. The exercise was conducted on December 11th, 2008 at the Shoreline Conference Center in Shoreline, WA
Designed by the regional stakeholders, the exercise provided interdependencies awareness of critical infrastructures to identify gaps and assess policies and procedures. The purpose of the exercise was to inform infrastructure owners and operators about recovery issues after a catastrophic disaster. The focus of the exercise examined how the resumption of food, fuel and water will occur after a catastrophic earthquake.
The After Action Conference will take place on February 3, 2009. If you attended the exercise, please contact Steve Myers at steve@pnwer.org to learn more about attending the AAC.
